Got 3 minutes? The video below gives an impression of how volunteers
experience our Make-A-Difference project in Cape Town, South Africa.
We believe that volunteering projects should be accessible to anyone willing to make a positive impact. Therefore we offer our projects at cost-price. The price of our projects is € 949. This includes accommodation for five weeks, including breakfast and dinner, transport to and from your working locations, workshop materials and training. Do note that the flight to and from the project location is not included.
During the project, you will stay with the whole group at a host family. Our host family, the Landsman family, has been involved with us since the organization was founded and is carefully selected based on their track record of hosting volunteers. Upon arrival they will provide a short introduction, training on the local environment and advise on adequate behavior. Both breakfast and dinner will be provided by the host family on a daily basis. Additionally, they will provide transport to and from your working locations. They know the areas of the NGOs and provide you with advice and guidance throughout the whole project.
About the Host family
The Landman's love coziness. They love to show you around and braai, go on a tour (with the touring company they own) or have a drink with our ambassadors. Their home is located in Seawinds, a community close to Muizenberg, the "surfers town" of Cape Town. We stimulate to take the weekends off to enjoy the beauty of Cape Town and it's surroundings.

YOUR TEAM & CHALLENGES
The team of volunteers, 3 to 4 ambassadors per project, will be working on collective tasks as well as their own individual tasks. Their collective tasks include for example the one-on-one guidance of the entrepreneurs as well as teaching the workshop. On the other hand their individual tasks involve customized challenges tailored to the strengths and interests of a particular candidate. As a result, the team has to cooperate and communicate effectively to complete collective tasks, but also split up and specialize in their own set of tasks.
We work together with a wide range of NGO’s located in disadvantaged communities around the world to jointly run our project. We work with 3 to 4 NGOs per project and our partners have been carefully selected based on their track record, transparency, correct ethical conduct, and desire to innovate. With this network of excellent partners, we have been able to deliver a high-quality project and educate many aspiring entrepreneurs.
